Privacy Policy

Last updated: 05.08.2026

Weddigo ("we") is a platform for sending digital invitations and managing event RSVPs. The privacy of our users — and of their guests — matters to us, and this document explains in plain language what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Event owners (customers): name, email address, phone number and event details (the couple's names, date, venue) — to open an account and run the event.
  • Guests: name, phone number, event association, RSVP status and preferences (such as meal choice). This information is uploaded by the event owners, who are responsible for having a lawful basis to share it with us.
  • Photos and video (Snapigo): files guests upload to the event album, together with the marker saying whether the upload is for all guests or for the couple only. Files are stored in EU cloud storage and are associated with that event alone.
  • Technical usage data: basic operational records (logs) needed to secure and run the service. We use no advertising cookies and sell no data to third parties.

What the information is used for

  • Sending invitations, reminders and event updates over WhatsApp and SMS.
  • Recording RSVPs and presenting them to the event owners.
  • Presenting the event photo album to its guests and its owners.
  • Operating, securing and improving the service.

Messages are only ever sent in the context of the event you were invited to — we never send guests third-party marketing content.

What we do not do

  • We perform no facial recognition without explicit consent — see the “Face search in Snapigo” section below.
  • We publish no event content to social networks.
  • We sell no data and pass none to advertisers.

Who the information is shared with

To provide the service we rely on established sub-processors: Meta (sending WhatsApp messages via the WhatsApp Business Platform), SMS providers, and hosting and cloud infrastructure (Supabase, Render, Vercel, Cloudflare R2). Each provider receives only the information its role requires and is bound by its own privacy commitments. Beyond that, information is neither sold nor passed to others, except where required by law.

Opting out

Every marketing message carries a simple opt-out, in line with Israel's Communications Law (section 30a). A guest who has opted out receives no further messages of that kind from us.

Retention and deletion

Event information is kept while the event is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards as a record for the event owners. You may at any time request access, correction or deletion — whether you are an event owner or a guest — by writing to the address below, and we will handle the request in accordance with the Privacy Protection Law.

Face search in Snapigo

  • What is stored: when a guest chooses “find your photos” and ticks an explicit consent box, a mathematical representation of their face (a recognition template) is computed from their selfie. The selfie image itself is deleted from storage within minutes; the template is used solely to locate the photos they appear in within this one event's gallery.
  • For how long: the template is deleted automatically within 30 days of the search, and in any case when the album closes — whichever comes first.
  • Immediate deletion: a “delete my search” button sits next to the results and removes the template immediately — the row itself, not a flag.
  • The photographer's gallery: when the event owners enable the search, the gallery photos — and photos guests uploaded and chose to share with everyone — are analysed for faces — which means templates are created for guests who never searched and never consented. We state this plainly: indexing happens under the event owners' instruction, on photos they lawfully hold; those templates are linked to no name and no identity, are never used to identify anyone except a guest who has opted in to identifying themselves, and are purged with the album. Informing their guests is the event owners' responsibility, and we hand them ready-made wording for it.
  • Private uploads are not analysed: a photo a guest chose to keep couple-only is never scanned for faces and never appears in anyone's search results.

Security

Information is stored in encrypted databases with access controls and full separation between events. Access to an event's data is reserved to its owners.
